Day 3 - Community Training
We woke up to thunder cracks, I peaked through my shades and sure enough, we have a down pour. Break out the rain gear; we still have work to do. We hopped some puddles to breakfast, and I drank that amazing Peruvian coffee to get the day started. Off to Chuchurras we went.
Chris and I went to the well house to crank up the system and troubleshoot some controls while both Brians and Sarai worked on presenting the O&M manual.
Rena and Paige are back in the trenches taking care of business. They are flying along now. The northeast end of the Santa Rosa side is getting very close to completion.
We would be amiss if we didn't share all the creepy crawly critters we come across: bats, lizards, large hornets, beetles, frogs, spiders, moths, you name it. I even saw a monkey down at the well house. Unfortunately, he was too quick for me to grab that photo to back up my claim. The biggest bug challenge the team faces is the jungle chiggers, who are all over the ground in the community. Put on your bug spray and hike up those socks unless you want to get bit!
Signing off from Chuchurras,
Derek.
