Simajhuleu Water Project

Project Type: Water Distribution System

 

Current Problem:  There is a lack of safe and hygienic water accessible to the community. Currently, water is only available at certain times throughout the week for the community members.

 

Project Goal:  This project aims to update the existing water infrastructure in Simajhuleu, ensuring that
clean drinking water is delivered to all villagers safely and reliably.

 

Current Phase:  Our team is currently in the initial phase of designing a system that will meet the community's current needs.

Project Travel: A group traveled to the community in the winter of 2023 to gather initial data and talk to local community members. Future travel plans are TBA.
