Local Projects: Division of Indian Work

The EWB-MN Local Projects team has been hard at work developing a rain garden/outdoor program space at the Division of Indian Work's (DIW) office in Minneapolis. This exciting project is now ready to begin construction, marking the first phase of a transformative initiative.

The primary focus of this project is the excavation and grading of the area by hand to intercept runoff and establish a rain garden. This sustainable approach not only helps manage water flow but also contributes to the creation of a beautiful outdoor space. The grading work will also result in a flat area that can be utilized for the outdoor programs that DIW sponsors, enhancing their mission and outreach efforts.

We want to express our gratitude to all the volunteers who have dedicated their time and effort to make this project a reality. Your hard work and commitment have been instrumental in bringing this vision to life. Without your support, this project would not have been possible. Together, we are creating a space that will not only benefit the environment but also provide a valuable resource for DIW and the community at large.
