Recently, our local projects team visited Gibbs Farm, a site of rich history and architectural significance. Our main goal was to survey the historic farmhouse and other buildings to gather vital information for designing wheelchair-accessible ramps. Understanding the layout and structural integrity was essential for integrating our designs with the existing architecture while enhancing accessibility. Additionally, we reviewed the landscape to ensure a smooth transition for all visitors, particularly those using mobility aids.
The insights from this visit will guide our design process. We aim to create a welcoming environment that honors the historical significance of Gibbs Farm while ensuring accessibility for everyone.
